Lise Lyngsnes Randeberg is a Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Electronic Systems, since 2011. She co-founded Picterus AS and Nordiq Products AS, focusing on technology innovation and industrial collaboration. Her research integrates physics-based modeling with machine learning for hyperspectral imaging and biomedical optics.
Research Interests: Biomedical optics, hyperspectral imaging, optical sensor technology, and diagnostic applications. She explores light-tissue interactions, medical instrumentation, and real-time diagnostic systems in collaboration with industry.
Key Projects:
- Lucid (FORNY, 2017): Early arthritis diagnosis device.
- OxyAid (FORNY, 2017): Oxygen therapy for COPD patients.
- SEMEOTICONS and IACOBUS (EU 7th Framework, 2012–2016): Cardio-metabolic and arthritis diagnostics.

- FRINAT Postdoc Grant, Norwegian Research Council, 2006–2009.
Teaching: TTT4280 Sensors and Instrumentation. Advised PhD students including Asgeir Bjørgan, Lukasz Paluchowski, and Martin Denstedt. Her lab contributes to open-source tools for hyperspectral analysis (NTNU Bio-optics Group).
