Lise Keiter serves as Professor and Chair of the Music Department at Mary Baldwin University, where she also directs the Broman Concert Series and Sunday Recital Series. An active performer, she appears internationally as a solo recitalist, collaborative artist, and orchestral soloist across the United States and Europe.

Dr. Keiter champions music by women and composers of color, frequently programming works by Florence B. Price and Clara Schumann. Her research integrates performance practice with advocacy for underrepresented composers, exploring memorization techniques and pedagogical approaches to diversify classical repertoire. She has presented lectures nationwide on these topics at universities and professional conferences.
