Lise Getoor is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland. She holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University (2001). Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, databases, and social network analysis, with notable contributions to probabilistic and logical methods in machine learning and knowledge discovery. She has been recognized as a Fellow of both the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS, 2022) and the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI, 2013).
