Lisa Young serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Hospitality & Sports Business at DePaul University. Her office is located at 14 E. Jackson Blvd., Suite 320, Chicago, IL 60604, and she can be reached at (312) 362-6680 or lisa.young@depaul.edu.
Dr. Young holds a PhD and MS from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and a BBA from Sam Houston State University. Prior to joining DePaul, she served as faculty-in-residence and director of student leadership programs at UNLV-Singapore campus.
Her research focuses on International Wine Management, Hospitality Sales and Marketing, Revenue Management, and Business Analytics. With over 20 years of industry experience at major hospitality brands including cruise lines and resort companies, she brings practical insights to her academic work. Dr. Young has lived and worked extensively throughout Asia and Europe, which informs her international perspective on hospitality management.
Dr. Young has received multiple prestigious awards including the HSMAI Chicago Hospitality Professor of the Year (2019) and DePaul's Driehaus College Teaching Recognition Award (2018, 2016).

As an active contributor to her field, Dr. Young serves as co-editor of ICHRIE Research Reports and sits on editorial boards for the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, Journal of Convention and Event Tourism, and International Hospitality Review. She has authored four textbook chapters covering meeting venues, revenue management, and employee performance evaluation. Dr. Young leads study abroad seminars to Singapore and Japan and facilitates the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) seminar through STR and AHLEI.
