Lisa Van Hove is a Researcher at the Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Her work focuses on self-injurious behavior, geriatric psychiatry, mental health, and psychosocial characteristics across the lifespan. She holds a PhD in Psychology (2024) and has conducted extensive research on non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) and suicidal ideation in older adults, contributing to understanding risk factors and clinical interventions.
Van Hove's research integrates qualitative and quantitative methods, collaborating with institutions like the Brussels University Consultation Center and the End-of-Life Care Research Group.
