Lisa Tremain is a Professor and Department Chair of the Department of Philosophy at Cal Poly Humboldt, affiliated with the College of Behavioral & Social Sciences. Her work centers on the ecologies of writing knowledge development and transfer, examining pedagogical practices in postsecondary education.
Education:
- PhD, University of California Santa Barbara
Her research focuses on multimodality, linguistic justice, and epistemological equity in writing instruction. She co-edits a forthcoming book on writing transfer through radical epistemological justice and advocates for transformative writing pedagogies that challenge traditional academic genres.
