Lisa Schetter is a doctoral researcher at the Department of Psychology, Philipps University of Marburg, affiliated with the workgroup Educational Psychology led by Prof. Dr. Malte Schwinger. She is also training as a child and adolescent psychotherapist at the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Outpatient Clinic in Marburg (KJ-PAM).
Her research focuses on defensive pessimism, self-handicapping, and the interaction of self-regulation strategies in learning environments with mental health outcomes in youth. These interests stem from her master's thesis on mediators between low expectations and reflectivity.
Lisa completed her M.Sc. in Psychology at Philipps University Marburg and served as a school psychologist for the Lower Saxony State School Authority in Oldenburg between December 2017 and July 2018.
