Lisa Richlen is a Sessional Instructor in the Department of Sociology at the University of British Columbia. Her research examines forced migration, refugee communities, ethnicity, diaspora, and minority rights, with a focus on Sudanese Darfurian asylum seekers.
She currently participates in an Israel Science Foundation project examining onward migration from Israel to Canada, analyzing integration outcomes of Filipino migrant workers, Eritrean refugees, and Russian-speaking Israelis.
