Dr. Lisa Morgans is a Senior Lecturer in Animal Health & Welfare at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU). As a veterinarian, facilitator, and participatory action researcher, her work focuses on Just Transitions in animal agriculture, Farm Animal Health & Welfare, Medicine Stewardship, and Technology Use. She leads modules in livestock systems and serves as Programme Leader for the Graduate Diploma in Agriculture.

Lisa actively manages research projects including Innovate UK funded dairy waste composting initiatives, Rothschild Trust programs for participatory research training, and the Horizon Europe BroilerNet project as Work Package Leader. Her recent work includes Cultured Meat & Farmers (2024) and evidence mapping for co-production techniques in food systems. Notable awards include the Public Health England Antibiotic Guardian Award (2019). She supervises PhD students like Jennifer Howse and has mentored completed candidates such as Mukhtar Mohammad.
