Lisa McCann is a Reader in Digital Health and Care at the University of Strathclyde's Department of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS), serving as Director of Research and Programme Director for the MSc Digital Health Systems. Her research focuses on person-centered digital health interventions, particularly for seldom heard populations such as children/adolescents with chronic conditions, cancer patients, and justice-experienced individuals. She emphasizes co-designed digital solutions addressing healthcare equity and the digital divide.
Education includes a PhD from the University of Dundee, an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Stirling, and a BSc in Psychology (Hons) from the University of Stirling. She holds honorary roles at Turku University of Applied Sciences and Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
Key interests include remote patient monitoring, mobile health apps, and integrated care systems. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health equity and innovation.
