Lisa M. Blum is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the School of Accountancy at the University of Louisville. She holds an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law (2003), a JD from SUNY Buffalo School of Law (1992), and dual undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Psychology from SUNY Buffalo (1988). Her research focuses on federal taxation, accounting ethics, and public policy implications in accounting. She has been recognized with awards including the College of Business Service Award (2001), Faculty Excellence Award (1999), and Undergraduate Teaching Award (1997-98). Her recent work addresses tax implications of emerging technologies like nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and the impact of pandemic-era policies like the Paycheck Protection Program. She is affiliated with the AACSB-accredited College of Business and School of Accountancy.
