Lisa Keeping-Burke

Lisa Keeping-Burke is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Health Research at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Department of Nursing and Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in Nursing from McGill University (2010) and has extensive experience in systematic review methodologies, telehealth, and chronic disease management.

Her research focuses on healthcare transitions, cardiovascular disease prevention, and caregiver support. Notable projects include developing telehealth programs for CABG surgery patients and leading SPOR-funded initiatives on systematic review methodologies. She has contributed to national guidelines through her role as National Research Director for the Canadian Council of Cardiovascular Nurses.

Dr. Keeping-Burke teaches NURS2132 Pharmacology and coordinates clinical preceptorship programs. She has supervised numerous MN and PhD students, advancing nursing education in evidence-based practice. Her service roles include membership on UNB Senate, the SPOR Evidence Alliance National Training Committee, and leadership positions in nursing education and research committees.
