Lisa Jahn-Clough is an Associate Professor in the Department of Writing Arts at Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts, Rowan University. She joined Rowan in 2010 and teaches courses in creative writing, children's literature, and graphic novels. Prior roles include writer-in-residence at Emerson College, chair of Illustration at Maine College of Art, and teaching at Vermont College of Fine Arts and Hamline University.

Her research focuses on children's literature, graphic novels, and creative writing pedagogy. She has authored over 15 books including Alicia Has a Bad Day (2002, still in print), The Kids of Cattywampus Street (2021), and the Petal and Poppy series. Her work emphasizes emotional literacy and narrative creativity, recognized by awards from Bank Street College, Child Magazine, and Parent's Choice.
Lisa actively promotes literacy through school visits and serves on the PEN Children's Book Caucus board. Her collaborations with husband Ed Briant include illustrated early readers.
