Lisa Hobbs

Lisa Hobbs is a Senior Lecturer (Paramedicine) at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine, Faculty of Health Sciences. Her work focuses on paramedic education, gender equity in emergency services, and continuing professional development (CPD).

• Research Interests: Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Medical Education, Continuing Professional Development, Gender Studies, Disaster Health Management, Arts-Based Research.

Recent trends in her research include workforce planning in EMS, gender inclusivity, CPD strategies, and interdisciplinary collaborations. She has published extensively on paramedic education, female experiences in EMS, and disaster response frameworks.

Her articles span clinical placement analysis, arts-based methods for gender studies, CPD barriers/motivators, and disaster management competencies. She also explores the intersection of healthcare and creative practice.
