Lisa Hainzl is a Lecturer in German as a Foreign Language at the Musicology Department of Mozarteum University since 2012. She concurrently teaches intermediate German and teacher training courses at the University of Salzburg's German Studies Department. Her academic work focuses on language acquisition and multilingualism, particularly in children with Turkish as their mother tongue.
She holds an MSc in Linguistics and German from the University of Salzburg (graduated 2012), where her master's thesis investigated vocal acquisition of German in Turkish-speaking children. This work earned her the Federal Ministry's 2012 Award of Appreciation.
Active in professional networks, Hainzl serves as a co-opted board member of the Austrian Association for German as a Foreign Language and advised Huber Verlag on their DaF textbook 'Momente'. She has also served as an examiner for the Austrian Language Diploma German (ÖSD) and taught at multiple institutions including FH Salzburg and the University of Portland/Salzburg.
