Lisa H. Gren

Lisa H. Gren, PhD, MSPH, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Public Health at the University of Utah. She teaches courses in biostatistics and public health systems, and serves as Director for the University of Utah Primary Care Research Network and Associate Director for the Center for Research on Migration and Refugee Immigration.

Her research focuses on clinical trials to refine cancer screening and hypertension guidelines, quality improvement in primary care clinics, and epidemiological studies addressing refugee and immigrant health needs. She has conducted international research in Ghana and Korea.

Recent publications highlight her work in machine learning for treatment optimization, rural-urban health disparities, and population health interventions. She actively contributes to the SPRINT Research Group and PLCO Cancer Screening Trial.

Her leadership extends to community health initiatives, including mental wellness programs for diverse populations and diabetes prevention using the RE-AIM framework.
