Lisa Forbes Grant is a Lecturer in Mental Health (Teaching & Scholarship) at the University of Leeds, part of the School of Healthcare within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. She holds qualifications including an MSc in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing, a Graduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and a BSc in Mental Health Nursing. Her expertise spans Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Infant Mental Health, and Restorative Practice in social care systems.
Professional highlights include the Queen’s Nurse Title (2020) for excellence in care and innovation. She previously worked in CAMHS (2005-2014), as a Health Visitor (post-2016), and as a Practice Development Lead implementing restorative practices in Children’s Social Care. Current roles include Module Lead for mental health nursing education.
Her work focuses on early intervention, systemic care approaches, and bridging academic teaching with practical healthcare innovation.
