Lisa Conrad

Dr. Lisa Conrad is a Professor of Digital Cultures (interim role) and Lecturer at Leuphana University's Institute of Sociology and Cultural Organisation (ISCO). She holds a PhD in Media Management from Bauhaus-University Weimar and has extensive experience in media and organization studies. Her academic journey includes postdoctoral research at the Digital Cultures Research Lab and teaching roles since 2018.

Explores topics like sociotechnical systems, mediating technologies in organizations, and digital transformation. Recent work examines organizational repair mechanisms and the role of media in structuring power.

Key Contributions: Her research bridges media theory and organization studies, with notable work on planning tables as mediating technologies and the materiality of organizational practices. Current projects emphasize digital cultures and sociotechnical systems analysis.

Teaching & Leadership: Leads lectures in sociology of organization and culture, coordinating interdisciplinary teams at ISCO. Served as interim professor in digital cultures (2020-2022) and has extensive postdoctoral research experience.
