Dr. Lisa Conlon is a Senior Lecturer at the Adelaide Nursing School, University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. With over three decades of nursing experience since 1989, she served as a Nursing Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, working both domestically and internationally. Post-military service, she transitioned to academia, holding roles in Australia and Sweden. She has consulted for the World Health Organization and International Council of Nurses (ICN), specializing in designing emergency and disaster nursing training programs.
Research & Teaching: Her research focuses on military trauma team preparedness, disaster nursing education, and clinical management. Teaching interests include perioperative nursing, emergency/disaster protocols, and nursing leadership. She currently co-supervises two HDR students and supports early-career researchers.
