Lisa Cillessen

Dr. Lisa Cillessen is a Clinical Associate Professor at the UMKC School of Pharmacy. She earned her Pharm.D. from The Ohio State University and completed a PGY1 residency in ambulatory care and academia at Northeastern University. Dr. Cillessen practices at Jordan Valley Community Health Center, providing chronic disease management services to underserved populations.

Her research focuses on:

• Point-of-care testing innovations
• Wellness promotion strategies
• Chronic disease management in vulnerable populations
• Collaborative learning models in pharmacy education

She serves as residency program director for the ASHP-accredited PGY2 program and advises student organizations including APhA-ASP and Rho Chi Honor Society.
