Lisa Babb

Lisa Babb is a Lecturer in the School of Industrial Design at Georgia Institute of Technology’s College of Design. She holds a Master’s degree from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor’s from Baruch College. With over 20 years of experience, her career spans graphic design, education, and activism focused on social justice. She has designed award-winning annual reports, pharmaceutical campaigns, and museum projects, while advocating for diverse design education models.

Her philosophy emphasizes design as a tool for societal change, reflected in her mantra: 'If you want a better world, make one.' Babb has built graphic design programs from scratch, prioritizing demographic and ideological diversity in education. She has taught at PACE University, SCAD, and currently leads design pedagogy at Georgia Tech, believing graphic literacy can transform lives.
