Lingzi Hong

Lingzi Hong is an Assistant Professor and Director of the B.S. in Data Science Program at the University of North Texas. Her research focuses on data science and engineering, urban computing, crisis informatics, and data ethics. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park, and M.S. and B.S. degrees from Beijing Normal University, China. Her work integrates artificial intelligence, social media analysis, and crisis communication to address challenges in misinformation detection, ethical data practices, and public health.
