Lindsey Bourassa serves as Studio Faculty (Flamenco) in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Bates College, based in Portland, Maine. She maintains an active studio presence in Pettigrew Hall, Room 208, contributing to the college's performing arts curriculum through specialized flamenco instruction and choreographic development.
Her academic credentials include a Master of Flamencology Degree from ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain, 2019), a Certificate of Professionalization in Flamenco Arts from El Centro de Arte y Flamenco de Sevilla (Spain, 2012), and a Bachelor of Cultural Dance Studies and Creative Writing from Goddard College (USA, 2009) with specialization in flamenco and salsa.
Bourassa's artistic practice centers on flamenco dance as a vehicle for narrative expression, integrating original creative prose with traditional and contemporary performance techniques.
