Lindsay Thurston is a Research Associate at the University of York's Health Sciences department and part of the Forensic Mental Health research theme. She currently works on the AMICABLE project, which develops peer-led mental health mentorship schemes for UK prisons.
- PhD in Forensic Psychology (Nottingham Trent University)
- MSc in Forensic Psychology (Nottingham Trent University)
- BSc (Hons) Psychology with Criminology (Nottingham Trent University)
Her research focuses on:
- Understanding and preventing violence, self-harm, and suicide in prison populations
- Analyzing dual harm (co-occurring self-harm and violence)
- Designing peer-led mental health interventions
