Lindsay Steiner

Lindsay Steiner is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She specializes in Professional & Technical Writing, UX Writing, and Content Strategy, with research interests in writing technologies, AI integration in writing, and usability studies. Her teaching spans digital content design, grant writing, and first-year writing courses.

Education:

• M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition, Kent State University (2009)
• B.S. in Visual Communication, Ohio University (2003)

Research Interests: Dr. Steiner’s work bridges theory and practice in digital content creation, user experience design, and the ethical implications of AI in writing. She emphasizes community engagement, career readiness, and collaborative learning in her pedagogy and research.

Awards: In 2017, she received the Eagle Excellence in Academic Advising Award, highlighting her commitment to student growth and mentorship.

Teaching & Service: She led study abroad programs in Ireland and China, integrating global perspectives into professional writing education. As a CASSH/VPA Faculty Fellow, she focuses on communication strategies and event planning.
