Linda Wauben

Dr. Linda Wauben serves as Research Professor of Technical Innovations in Healthcare at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences' Research Centre Innovations in Care, while also conducting postdoctoral research at Delft University of Technology. Her work integrates human factors and technology to improve healthcare safety, efficiency, and quality.

She earned her PhD in 'Safety in the Operating Room' (2010) from Delft University of Technology through a collaboration between Industrial Design Engineering and Erasmus University Medical Centre's Surgery Department, following an Industrial Design degree.

Her research focuses on healthcare technology innovation, including medical device design, patient safety systems, and assistive technologies. Key areas include hand hygiene compliance, telemonitoring for chronic conditions, and ergonomic improvements for medical equipment. She emphasizes goal-oriented technology application to support healthcare professionals and empower patients.
