Prof. Dr. Linda Simonis is a Professor of General and Comparative Literature at the German Department, Faculty of Philology, Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Her research focuses on 18th-century literature in a European context, mythologies, aesthetics, and performative representation across art forms. She leads Teilprojekt C03 within the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 1475) 'Metaphors of Religion,' exploring interdisciplinary religious and media studies.
Her work bridges literary analysis with philosophy, history, and cultural studies. Notable areas include:

- Totalitarianism's impact on comparative literature
