Linda Pollak

Linda Pollak is an Adjunct Professor at The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, Cooper Union. She is a principal of Marpillero Pollak Architects (MPA), specializing in public projects such as the Elmhurst Community Library and Queens Plaza Bicycle Improvements. Her research focuses on architecture and urban landscape, supported by grants from institutions like the American Academy in Rome and the Graham Foundation. She co-authored the book Inside Outside: Between Architecture and Landscape and serves on the Board of Storefront for Art and Architecture and the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation’s Advisory Board.

Her professional practice emphasizes public space design, with projects addressing lightweight structures and urban revitalization. Pollak’s work integrates cultural and environmental considerations, reflecting her interest in the interplay between built environments and community life.
