Linda Horwitz is an Associate Professor of Communication and Chair of Museum Studies at Lake Forest College (2009–present). She holds a PhD in Communication Studies (Northwestern University, 1998) and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies. Her research focuses on rhetorical criticism, feminist argumentation, and pop culture analysis, with notable works exploring gender representation in media, historical figures like Angela Y. Davis, and the rhetoric of political widows. She has taught courses ranging from foundational communication theories to specialized topics like the Rhetorical Presidency and gender studies. Her work emphasizes intersections of gender, power, and public discourse. Invited lectures and debates include discussions on election rhetoric, queer representation, and feminist pedagogy.
