Dr. Linda Duffett-Leger is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary and serves as Academic Lead for the Healthcare Innovation and Design Graduate Certificate. She is also a Child Health & Wellness Researcher at the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute, a Teaching Scholar at the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning, and Co-Lead of the BME Research Strategy in Health Monitoring and Management. Her research focuses on using wearable technology and participatory design to address musculoskeletal health in nursing and maternal-child mental health.

Research Interests: Dr. Duffett-Leger’s work bridges nursing practice and technology, emphasizing wearable devices for health monitoring, injury prevention, and chronic illness management. She collaborates with interdisciplinary teams on initiatives like the STiMM (Sensor Technology in Monitoring Movement) program and NSERC CREATE We-TRAC, focusing on biomechanics, data science, and entrepreneurship in wearable tech. Her maternal health research includes interventions for postpartum depression through the CHILD studies program.

She has pioneered team-based learning approaches using e-learning technology and was named a Rising Star by Chatelaine magazine for revolutionizing healthcare in Canada.
