Dr. Linda Buchan is an Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Associate Executive Dean (Accreditation) at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University. She holds a PhD in Work, Employment and Organisation from the University of Strathclyde (2015-2019) and has over 25 years of HR experience in private sector roles at companies like Standard Life and Boots the Chemist before transitioning to academia in 2014.

Her research challenges traditional leadership concepts, redefining leadership as a communicative process between individuals. She focuses on topics such as collaborative leadership, organizational change, and leadership development beyond individual-centric models.
