Linda Broyde Haramati, MD, MS, is a Professor and Chief Mentoring Officer in the Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging at Yale School of Medicine. She holds dual board certifications in Diagnostic Radiology and subspecialty expertise in cardiothoracic imaging. Her academic career spans over three decades, with leadership roles in clinical care, research, and mentorship.
Dr. Haramati earned her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1985), followed by residency at Montefiore Medical Center (1990) and a chest radiology fellowship at Columbia University (1991). She completed a Clinical Research Methods MS at her alma mater (2008). Her board certification in Diagnostic Radiology dates to 1990.
Research Focus: Her work bridges clinical radiology with translational research, emphasizing:
- Pulmonary embolism diagnosis and risk stratification via CT imaging
- Cardiac tumor imaging and WHO classification correlation
- Lung cancer screening disparities and program resilience during crises
