Linda Alpert-Gillis is a Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Clinical Nursing at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). She directs UR Medicine's Pediatric Behavioral Health & Wellness Outpatient Services and the Laboratory of Innovation in Child Mental Health Care Delivery. Her research focuses on improving mental health outcomes for children and families through preventive interventions, particularly for youth in foster care, post-divorce families, and NICU populations.

Her research spans three decades, including pioneering the COPE (Creating Opportunities for Parent Empowerment) program for NICU parents and developing mental health screening frameworks for pediatric primary care. Notable awards include the Rita P. Underberg Award for Excellence in Teaching (2016, 2011), NIH Training Grant (1982-1983), and WT Grant Foundation Research Support (1985-1986). She has contributed to national mental health policy through the KySS Summit.
