Lincoln Turner is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Monash University, and holds a Monash Research Fellowship. His research focuses on atomic, molecular, and optical physics, with particular emphasis on ultracold matter, Bose-Einstein condensates, and precision measurements. He pioneered holographic imaging techniques for cold atom clouds and led a team at NIST to achieve the first continuous spin-state measurement in a Bose-Einstein condensate.
Current research projects include ultraprecise magnetometry using optically trapped condensates, spin squeezing in spinor BECs, and high-quantum-efficiency photodetectors.
