Lina Thomas is a Research Fellow in the Department of Economics at Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She teaches in the American Economic Policy course alongside Professors Jeffrey Liebman and Lawrence H. Summers, and has previously taught macroeconomics at the Harvard Kennedy School and the Stockholm School of Economics.
- Ph.D. Candidate in Economics
Her research focuses on international macroeconomics and behavioral finance, particularly analyzing domestic dollarization in emerging markets, currency risk dynamics, global economic shock spillovers, and investor behavior patterns. She has also contributed to policy discussions at the Swedish Central Bank regarding U.S. monetary policy impacts on Sweden. Lina will defend her Ph.D. thesis titled Rates, Dollarization, and Investor Behavior in December this year.
