Lina Sunseri

Lina Sunseri is a Professor at the Department of Sociology at Western University, with a joint appointment in the Indigenous Studies Program. She is a member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames (Turtle Clan) and holds Italian heritage. Her Ph.D. in Sociology is from York University, Toronto. She taught at Brescia University College for two decades before joining Western University.

Her research focuses on Indigenous gender relations, decolonization, and equity policies in organizations. Key interests include Indigenous mothering, nationalism, and community development. She emphasizes revitalizing Indigenous knowledge systems and addressing colonial legacies in institutional frameworks.
