Lillit Ottosson is a Research Fellow at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI), Stockholm University, with additional affiliations at the Institute for Evaluation of Labour Market and Education Policy (IFAU), Uppsala Center for Labor Studies (UCLS), and Uppsala Immigration Lab. She obtained her PhD in Economics from Uppsala University in 2022.
Her research examines labor economics, applied microeconomics, and immigration, focusing on how active labor market policies and income support programs impact employment outcomes and public health. Key areas include refugee economic integration, gender disparities in labor access, and cost-benefit analysis of public employment initiatives.
She leads multiple projects including Sustainable synergies (developing inclusive social policies for extended working lives) and completed research on asylum policy impacts on refugee integration. Her publications analyze trends in welfare program effectiveness and labor market accessibility.
She collaborates with the Labour Economics (AME) research group, which investigates wages, employment, education, healthcare systems, taxation, political economics, and gender equality.
