Dr Lilani Arulkadacham is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University, affiliated with the Monash Pearson Alliance and the Turner Institute for Brain & Mental Health. Her research focuses on online education, particularly in health professions, multicultural collaboration, and student success in digital learning environments. She specializes in Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) pedagogy to enhance interdisciplinary and cross-cultural healthcare education.
Dr Arulkadacham has led projects such as COIL: Healthcare across Cultures and Disciplines (2023–2024) and Culturally Responsive Collaborative Care (2023), aiming to develop innovative educational frameworks. She holds the prestigious Fellow Higher Education Academy award (2022).
Her research explores topics including smartphone applications for alcohol/drug interventions, neurodiversity in online education, and student wellbeing in sensitive course content. She has contributed to over 20 scholarly outputs since 2015, with recent work emphasizing global educational partnerships and technology-driven solutions.
Dr Arulkadacham advises on Monash’s online Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced (GPDA) program, emphasizing its unique structure and career opportunities in psychology. She actively engages in media discussions to promote accessible, human-centered online education models.
