Lila Bozgeyikli serves as an Associate Professor at the College of Information Science, University of Arizona, where she is designated as Core Faculty and PhD Faculty specializing in Gaming and Virtual Worlds and Human-Computer Interaction / Human-Centered Computing.
Her research pioneers embodied interaction techniques that dissolve boundaries between physical and virtual environments through extended reality systems (VR/AR/MR). She focuses on leveraging game development and human-computer interaction principles to create transformative applications in education, professional training, health interventions, and well-being enhancement. This work emphasizes user experience optimization to maximize real-world benefits from immersive technologies.
As a PhD Faculty member, she mentors graduate researchers in virtual worlds and HCI domains. Her scholarly contributions appear in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, advancing methodologies for beneficial interactive technology deployment across societal sectors.
