Liesbeth Groot Nibbelink is Assistant Professor in Theatre and Performance Studies at Utrecht University’s Department of Media and Culture Studies. As coordinator of the Master’s programme in Contemporary Theatre, Dance and Dramaturgy, she integrates her expertise in dramaturgy, scenography, and spatial theory into academic and artistic practice. Her research bridges theoretical inquiry with performative methodology, focusing on performance ecologies, new materialism, and urban interfaces. She co-founded Platform-Scenography, an open-source initiative fostering reflection on performance design.
