Prof. Liesbeth Bakker is a Special Professor in Rewilding Ecology at the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, Wageningen University & Research. Her research focuses on rewilding as an ecosystem restoration technique, emphasizing natural processes, habitat connectivity, and the role of wildlife in ecological recovery. She contributes to the UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) by evaluating rewilding outcomes for biodiversity and ecosystem services.

- Impact of wildlife reintroduction and natural processes on ecosystems
