Lidia Simona Sava

Dr. Lidia Simona Sava is a Professor at the Western University of Timisoara, affiliated with the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology and the Department of Educational Sciences. She served as Department Director (1997-2019) and led the Romanian Institute of Adult Education (IREA) (2000-2013). Her career spans over 25 years in adult education policy and research.

Her research focuses on Adult Education, Lifelong Learning, Educational Policy, and Social Pedagogy. Recent work explores digital assessment in higher education, inclusive education implementation, and teacher training for playful pedagogy. Her publications reflect collaborations across Europe, including contributions to the Europe 2020 strategy.
