Professor Lidia Morawska holds a dual role as a Professor at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and as Vice Chancellor Fellow at the Global Centre for Clean Air Research (GCARE) at the University of Surrey. She directs the WHO Collaborating Centre on Air Quality and Health (ILAQH) at QUT and co-leads the Australia-China Centre for Air Quality Science and Management (ACC-AQSM). Her work focuses on interdisciplinary air quality research with emphasis on particulate matter's environmental and health impacts.
Her research integrates atmospheric chemistry, public health, and environmental engineering. Recent work addresses indoor air quality in maritime settings and global ventilation standards to mitigate disease transmission risks. She has contributed to international policy frameworks for indoor environmental safety.

Advancing global collaboration through ACC-AQSM and WHO partnerships, her work bridges academic research with real-world applications. Current initiatives include optimizing ventilation systems in high-risk environments and developing particulate matter measurement methodologies.
