Libby Ricardo, MFA, is an Associate Professor of Theater and Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB), where she co-coordinates the Theater Program and serves as Program Coordinator for the Interdisciplinary Studies Program. She teaches courses in acting, theater appreciation, interdisciplinary methods, and performance-based pedagogy.

Her research emphasizes theater skills as life skills, with a focus on simulation-based education and interdisciplinary approaches. She has extensive experience in stage, television, and film acting, with notable roles including Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Viola in Twelfth Night, and Rona in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She has also directed productions such as Art, Little Shop of Horrors, and Godspell.
Ricardo integrates performance techniques into educational frameworks through her work with simulation programs and ensemble-based pedagogy. She teaches courses like Fundamentals of Acting, Interdisciplinary Methods, and Performance of Caring, bridging theater with broader educational and practical applications.
