معرفی
Professor Lianxing Wen is a theoretical and observational seismologist and geodynamicist at Stony Brook University since 2000, affiliated with the Department of Geosciences. His research focuses on Earth's structure, dynamics, and planetary evolution, using seismic waves, geodetic data, and geodynamical models. He investigates mechanisms of stress/strain changes and unconventional seismic sources (e.g., nuclear tests, induced earthquakes).
Education: Ph.D., California Institute of Technology (1998).
Key Research Contributions: Developed techniques for seismic wave simulation, source detection, and event classification. Leads national initiatives in China, including the China Seismological Reference Model (CSRM) project and authored a strategic report on earthquake hazard mitigation for Chinese scientific institutions.
Professional Activities: Oversees the Group Alumni program and contributes to open-source research tools. Engages in global seismology through collaborations and initiatives.
