Liang Song serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany within the Faculty of Science at the University of British Columbia (UBC). His research program investigates molecular mechanisms underlying plant stress responses and seed development through transcriptional regulation.

His work employs Arabidopsis thaliana as a model system to dissect transcriptional networks involving activators, repressors, and co-regulators that integrate hormonal and environmental signals.
