Lia Rimondini

Lia Rimondini is a Full Professor at the University of Eastern Piedmont Amedeo Avogadro, leading research in dental biomaterials and tissue engineering within the Department of Health Sciences.

Her work focuses on antimicrobial surface modifications, bioactive materials for osseointegration, and advanced characterization of material-biological interactions. She has pioneered multifunctional coatings for dental implants and orthopedic devices.

Recent publications highlight innovations in antibacterial textiles, corrosion-resistant metallic glasses, and bifunctional scaffolds for bone regeneration. Her group consistently integrates nanotechnology with biological evaluation across 2D/3D models.

Professor Rimondini directs major projects including INJECTHEAL (self-healing hydrogels) and 4D-REVIVE (4D-bioprinted cardiac patches), collaborating with European partners. She has authored over 250 publications and mentors junior researchers in biomaterial science.
