Leyre Aguado Gil

Dr. Leyre Aguado Gil is a Lecturer in Dermatology at the University of Navarra Clinic. She holds an MD (2004) and a PhD in Medicine (2013) from the University of Navarra and is a board-certified specialist in Medical-Surgical and Venereological Dermatology (2009).

Research Focus: Dr. Aguado leads and participates in clinical trials on melanocyte transplantation for stable vitiligo, investigates novel treatments for actinic keratoses, and applies laser and photodynamic therapies for vascular malformations and other dermatologic conditions.

Teaching & Mentorship: She lectures in the Clinical Practice dermatology seminars and mentors medical-student internships and residents in the Department of Dermatology since 2016.

Awards & Recognition:

• Extraordinary Doctorate Award (2014) for her thesis on therapeutic targets in extensive vascular malformations

Professional Affiliations: Member of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV), the Spanish Group of Surgical Dermatology, Laser and Cutaneous Oncology, and the European Committee of Experts on Photodynamic Therapy.
