Professor Lewis S. Aptekar is a Professor of Counselor Education at San José State University (SJSU) within the College of Education. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Michigan and is a licensed Clinical Psychologist after postgraduate training at Texas Tech University. His expertise spans cross-cultural psychology, environmental disasters, and international development, with a focus on street children and humanitarian assistance.
