Dr. Leslie Cizmas is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at Texas A&M University School of Public Health. She holds a PhD from Texas A&M University, a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment, and a BA from Princeton University.
- Research Focus: Water reuse and sustainability, drinking water contaminants, health effects of complex chemical mixtures, and exposure assessment in underserved communities.
- Teaching: Hazardous Materials Management, Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Toxicology, and Toxicology in Public Health.

Her recent research explores advanced oxidation processes for contaminant removal, disinfection byproduct formation, and environmental health impacts of pesticides and pharmaceuticals. Publications highlight collaborations with multidisciplinary teams on water treatment technologies and community-based exposure assessments.
Dr. Cizmas's work addresses critical intersections between environmental chemistry, toxicology, and public health through both laboratory studies and field investigations.
